HighlightsKumba has been successful in many ways this year. All operating units retained their certification for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems for 2007. In an improved safety performance Thabazimbi Mine’s lost-time injury frequency rate dropped to 0.12 from 0.31, and Sishen Mine achieved 0.23 despite much more activity on the mine with the construction of the Sishen Expansion Project. |
